About

Background

Taciano was born in Pernambuco, a state in the Northeast region of Brazil, which is one of the oldest regions of the country, and famous for its beautiful beaches, unique styles of music, and wonderful carnival. He moved to New Zealand in 2003, where he received his PhD in environmental and social psychology in 2007.

He was one of the recipients of the 2010 Early Career Research Excellence Award from the Victoria University of Wellington, the 2009 Interamerican Award of Environmental Psychology (Student Category) from the Interamerican Society of Psychology, and the 2008 Young Scientist Program Award from the International Union of Psychological Science.

He is author of more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and has given more than 50 scientific talks in countries such as Argentina, Australia, Germany, Guatemala, Greece, India, Mexico, and Switzerland.

Academic Interests:

His research primarily lies within the general area of applied psychology, with particular interests at the interface of social, environmental and cross-cultural psychology.

Research skills (general) : survey design, advanced multivariate statistics and data analysis, equivalence in cross-cultural research, natural semantic network technique

Other Interests:
